Dana's art communicates her
enjoyment of life and travel experiences through a strong reflection of
colour. Her work divides space into successive planes through a shifting
focus. It involves no idea of completion but seeks to open the
imagination and let it roam across forms and empty spaces, resulting in
a wonderful imagery of colour and contemporary design.
Dana was born in Melbourne and
studied hairdressing at Kramers Hairdressing College, Collins Street
Melbourne. Travelling to New Zealand, cruising to the U.K. Dana worked
in London, Vienna, Athens, Menorca, New York and Johannesburg, returning
to Sydney six years later. Dana studied with the College of Colour and
Design, Sydney, for two years and applied her knowledge to interior and
fashion.
Now settled in Cleveland, Dana
has successfully completed Painting at the Open College of Art with
tutor Dr. Irene Amos O.A.M. attended three Mc.Gregor Schools at the
University of Southern Queensland and studied with The Brisbane
Institute of Art.
