Robbie
McInnes has lived in the Bayside area all her life and taught Art in the
district for twenty years. Robbie has a passion for the Redland’s
community. As well as being an exhibiting member of The Old Schoolhouse
Gallery she is a member of the Redland’s Creative Alliance. She has had
two major joint exhibitions featuring her
Textures
in Nature
Series and jewellery design label Silver & Earth.
The
Textures in Nature
series reflects a passion for interpreting textures and colours into
various media. This focus is evident in all her work in various media
from Drawing to Ceramics and Jewellery.
In her Silver & Earth
label Robbie combines the colours and textures of semi-precious stones
with expressive freeform linear silver work.
Harmonious colour
arrangements together with creative use of contrast in texture are
features of her contemporary designs. Influenced by years of exploring
art and design, this range has the unique quality of being both
earthy and sophisticated at the same time. Robbie has designed both
the jewellery range and the stylish packaging to create a total product
image of modern statement jewellery.
Shoe Shoes
The ‘ShoeShoes’ Series responds to the ‘Imelda Marcos’s’ in her life
with bright fun images of shoes, handbags and accessories. These works
began as small triptychs and large compositions and are now also
available as prints and stationery.
