JANEEN V FEDRICK

Australian Wildlife & Landscape Artist

I am drawn to unspoilt wilderness.

There my senses are filled with wonder.

There I feel renewed and strengthened

By beauty and harmony.

I hope never to loose that wonder and create from my heart.

Profile

As an artist I aim for an accurate yet sensitive portrayal of wildlife and unspoilt wilderness and to give to the viewer the feeling of being part of the environment along with the subject.

The wild Australian Landscapes with their vibrant light, rich hues and remarkable diversity fill me with such awe.  They are a joy to observe and a challenge to paint.

I commenced studying drawing and painting at the Vikki Harvey Art School, Brisbane Queensland in 1996 gaining there a passion for Wildlife Art.   I also completed the Advanced Course, A year’s study in Botanic Illustration, at Margaret Saul School of Botanical Art at Mt Coot-tha Botanical Gardens in Brisbane, Qld. in 2003.

In my studio using archival papers and artist high quality materials, I compose and create original, one of, traditional fine art.

I am an exhibiting member (since 2001) and committee member of the Queensland Wildlife Artists Society Inc. and also an exhibiting member of "Nature in the Raw" a group of wildlife and botanical artists,  which promotes our beautiful Australian flora and fauna through art exhibitions in private and regional galleries

I am a member and my work is represented in the lovely, historic Old Schoolhouse Gallery, Cleveland Point, Queensland  and in private collections in Australia,  United States of America and the United Kingdom.
